You will need your Client site name, username, and password to successfully log in. Reach out to the primary Master Console Administrator for your account regarding this information.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The punch rounding rules will apply to all punches, including breaks and lunches. If this is not appropriate for your organization, you may wish to disable this feature. It is your responsibility to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Add a new User
- Log in to the intended Client Account.
- Click the Users option from the navigation bar on the left side of the window.
- Click the Add icon.
- Select the intended role type (Employee, Supervisor, Administrator). Note that supervisors and administrators cannot have punch privileges, related settings, or timecards. Create multiple profiles for users with multiple roles as needed.
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Overview page, before clicking the arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Name and contact info - Used to identify the user in the portal and on reports, contact info for your information
- Home Department - Determines the timecard, approval, break, overtime, schedule, and lockout rules for the employee
- Department Transfer - Allows the employee to designate a department to allocate hours worked on a shift
- Timezone - Should correspond with the physical location of the employee
- Role - Reflects the role of the user
- Status - Reflects the active status of the employee
- Hire date, Payroll ID, and Exemption status - For your information
- Hourly rate - For your information, used to calculate gross pay total estimates on reports
- Custom fields - For your information
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Punch Authentication page (for employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Fingerprints - Used to authenticate at a timeclock
- Badge number - Used to authenticate at a timeclock
- PIN number - Used to authenticate at a timeclock, on the web portal, and/or on the mobile app
- Enter/Select the intended details on the System Access page (for supervisors and employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Username, Password, and Email - Required to access the portal and reset a forgotten password
- Website punches - Allows the employee to punch via the web portal with or without IP address restrictions
- Smartphone app punches - Allows the employee to punch via the smartphone app with or without geolocation restrictions
- View timecard - Allows the employee to view and/or edit their timecard via the web portal
- Employee timecard approval - Requires the approval process for the employee's timecards
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Notifications page (for employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Email timecards - Sends an email (Daily, Weekly, or Each Pay Period) with the timecard to the entered recipients
- Email punch notifications - Sends an email with punch notifications to the entered recipients
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Accruals page (for employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Start date - The date at which the accruals start and starting balance should be available
- Start balance - The number of benefit hours available at the start date
- Earn rate - The rate at which benefit hours should be earned
- Applicable pay codes - The pay codes that should be included in the earn rate calculations
- Cap hours - The maximum number of benefit hours the employee should be able to hold at any time
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Holidays page (for employees only), clicking the SAVE button when finished.
- Add - Click a holiday from the left panel to add it for the employee. You can also add all holidays with the ALL option.
- Edit - Click the pencil icon next to an added holiday to edit the holiday settings for the employee.
- Remove - Click the trash icon next to an added holiday to remove the holiday for the employee. You can also remove all holidays with the REMOVE ALL option.
Edit/Archive/Re-activate a User
- Log in to the intended Client Account.
- Click the Users option from the navigation bar on the left side of the window.
- Click the Search icon and enter the intended name to display their information.
- Click the Filter icon and select one of the status options (All, Active, Archived) as needed.
- Click the Add icon.
- Enter the intended details on the Client Information page, clicking the SAVE button when finished.
- Click the EDIT icon for the intended employee.
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Overview page, before clicking the arrow button to proceed when finished.
- To archive/re-activate the user, select the Archived/Active option for the Status setting.
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Punch Authentication page (for employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Enter/Select the intended details on the System Access page (for supervisors and employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Notifications page (for employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Accruals page (for employees only), clicking the Arrow button to proceed when finished.
- Enter/Select the intended details on the Holidays page (for employees only), clicking the SAVE button when finished.
Upload Employees
- Download and open the employee upload form from this article.
- Complete the form and save the file using CSV format. Name the file: uAttendStaffing_employee.upload_<insert your company name>.
- Attach the file in an email addressed to: support@staffmyclients.com.
- If you already have an open support ticket for this issue, you can attach the file and reply with the following in the ticket comments instead of composing a new email.
- Enter the following in the subject field:uAttend Staffing- Employee Upload Request Include the following information in the body of the email:
- Master Console Account/Company name:
- Confirm the required document is attached.
- You should receive a response within 3 business days.
